Launched by world-class builder Palmer Johnson, the 95-foot Twisted Pair is, on the face of it, a stately motoryacht with a classic profile and a C. Raymond Hunt designed hull. But underneath it all, she's a thoroughly modern lady full of innovative, high-tech features and equipment.
On the flying bridge are lounges served by a dumbwaiter, a hot tub, a folding mast, a tender platform, the upper helm station and three docking wings. There's even a special steering station on the foredeck. The afterdeck, with enclosure and air conditioning, has a lounge with coffee tables that convert to a large dining table. The yacht's spacious, elegant interior is lined with anigre. The main saloon features facing settees, convertible dining/coffee tables and a cutting-edge entertainment center. Just forward is a gourmet galley behind a counter and panels that open or close it off. Below are master stateroom and three guest staterooms that include third Pullman berths and can double as studies, with slide-out desktops and seats. All have ensuite heads. Quarters for four crew lie forward.
The pilothouse holds an incredible array of state-of-the-art electronics, including a Sea Space weather system that tracks the satellites professional forecasters use; an Antec sonar system that lets you view what's below way ahead, and a Transis chart plotter that downloads charts for all parts of the world and is even linked to a nightscope on the mast. The helm seat armrest has a joystick. |
